THE MISSION

To create a world-scale museum, cultural and entertainment center by May 2023, the 75th anniversary of Israel’s independence.  One that will attest to the significance of outstanding Jewish contributions and how they have shaped the path of humankind.

This institution will surpass the traditional role of a museum, operating extended hours and become a significant cultural and entertainment hub for Tel Aviv, Israel and the world.

TELLING A NEW STORY

The Asper Foundation commissioned a feasibility study titled “Building an Outstanding Jewish Museum in Tel Aviv”. Its summary findings noted that almost 70% of Jewish museums around the world focus on the narrative of the Holocaust and the theme of survival. There are very few that illuminate the contributions the Jewish People have given to the world. The study found that there isn’t a ‘must visit’ cultural institute in Tel Aviv, and the city is missing an iconic architectural symbol.

The World’s Jewish Museum will be that iconic missing symbol.

The study’s conclusion stated that: assuming the World’s Jewish Museum can fully tap its visitor target groups and position itself as one of Israel’s top three museums, we believe a target of 850,000 visitors annually is feasible.
